The title of the song is "My Dogs" and is off of my new album "Life's An Illusion." I decide to put this solo acoustic guitar piece on my album because I like the way it fit and I love the simple melody. For all you dog owners, you probably will understand the music video. Dogs really are Man's Best Friend. Bessie is my yellow lab and Bubba is a shepherd mix that I rescued from the pound. Being an artist, I spend alot of time alone in my studio working and my dogs are always there to keep me company, so I wrote an instrumental acoustic guitar piece about them. I have had several dogs in my life and I can't imagine not having a couple of dogs around me at all times. This was all shot here at my place where I live just outside of Nashville, Tennessee. Camera used was a Canon T2i and I just used the kit lens that came with it. This is the first instrumental I ever put on one of my albums. I thought it was unusual to have on this album and sometimes it is nice to surprise the listener. On my new album there is a wide dynamic range of songs from a full band with horn section, strings, etc. down to this solo acoustic guitar piece. I always enjoyed albums that have changes and variety, like The Beatles White Album or Led Zeppelin's Physical Graffiti. This is a simple, mellow acoustic guitar piece with a lyrical melody.
